Lisetta Jane Silvestri, J.D.
Lisetta can help you achieve your project and organizational goals.
Lisetta has been working for environmental organizations for more than 15 years. Her work began in environmental education, teaching kids on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Lisetta grew passionate about Bay commercial fisheries, working with watermen to make the fishery more profitable and sustainable. She attended law school at the University of Maryland and represented a number of clients at the Environmental Law Clinic to support a healthier Bay and to address environmental justice claims. After graduating from law school Lisetta worked for a land trust on the Eastern Shore, focusing on community projects that increased recreational access and also focused on the lesser-known issue of Heirs Property. Since moving back to her home state of New Hampshire in 2011, she has worked at land trusts in the Lakes Region. This work has included the completion of the first aggregate Carbon Offset project registered with the state of California, the completion of a conservation easement in Franklin, supporting the Mill City Park , and more than 15 other land projects, covering more than 2,000 acres of land. Lisetta is passionate about supporting a thriving local economy and affordable housing, saving the open spaces we all need to stay healthy and connected to nature, and tackling the climate change emergency.
